SchleTek Screw-Lock - Medium

Permanently secures threaded assemblies. Prevents self-loosening, friction welding, galling, and corrosion.

While mechanical devices such as split pins or tab washers prevent the loss of nuts and bolts or increase elasticity, they cannot avoid self-loosening caused by vibration, shock or changes in temperature. SchleTek´s thread lockers Screw-Lock medium and Screw-Lock strong will put things right and permanently secure your threaded assemblies.

Screw-Lock is a special adhesive sealant which cures in the absence of air. It can be universally employed to secure threaded assemblies of all types and shapes, and it is also a quick, easy and safe solution in case of worn or overtorqued threads. Screw-Lock medium and strong is gap-bridging up to 0.25 mm, prevents seizing caused by corrosion and is temperature-resistant from -55°C (-67°F) to 150°C (302°F). With a viscosity of approximately 2,500 - 4,500 mPas Screw-Lock is highly viscous. Handling strength is achieved after approximately 30 to 50 minutes; functional strength is obtained after 6 to 12 hours.

The desired strength of the fitting determines if “medium” (medium strength, disassembly possible with standard hand tools) or “strong” is required (high strength, disassembly difficult with standard hand tools, localised heating necessary for removal).

Can be used universally on all sizes of threads.

Despite its top performance, Screw-Lock does not contain any ingredients classified as hazardous substances and therefore does not require special labelling.
