Gluing your scope into the mount rings using inappropriate adhesive generally causes problems and loss in value from damage to the coating when removing it at a later time. However, using an adhesive certainly is essential especially on high-power calibres to protect the optic against vibration and prevent it from moving in the mount rings.

SchleTek Optic-Mount-Sealant is the innovative answer to this challenge. It can be removed without leaving any residue or harming the surfaces which have been glued together. Optic-Mount-Sealant is no glue in the usual sense of the word, but liquid rubber on a basis of caoutchouc and silicone, specially formulated for bonding optic and mount rings. This rubber vulcanises within 24 hours, thus secures the optic against slipping and moving caused by vibration.

Optic-Mount-Sealant is easy to apply, very economical in use, and, most important, it can be removed gently and easily, leaving no scratches or damages behind. Due to the special cartridge head Optic-Mount-Sealant does not dry up even after the cartridge has been opened.

Important:Never exceed the indicated tightening torque for the mount screws. To secure mount screws against loosening, use SchleTek´s thread locker Screw-Lock. Please use torque wrench, to ensure consistent tightening on all screws (for example FAT Wrench, which can be found on our shop).
