Primer Pocket Reamers (Large & Small)
Designed to remove military primer pocket crimps. Unlike conventional reamers that cut at a 35–40° angle, Burstfire reamers use an 80–85° geometry based on SAAMI dimensions. This removes only the minimum amount of material while maintaining proper primer pocket dimensions.
The reamer diameters are designed with minimal clearance relative to standard primer dimensions: Small: 0.1730" / Large: 0.2090". Many competing products use smaller dimensions: Small: 0.167" / Large: 0.202".
Note: The reamer does not need to be inserted fully into the primer pocket. Once you feel or hear the cutting action, the crimp is usually removed. The tool is designed for quick “tap-and-go” operation and is often faster than swaging. Burstfire recommends using Primer Pocket Go / No-Go Gauges to verify final dimensions.

Primer Pocket Uniformer Set (Large & Small)
Designed to cut primer pockets to a uniform depth.
Many primer pocket uniformers on the market are undersized, causing wobble during operation and resulting in slower, less consistent cutting. Burstfire uniformers are manufactured to precise dimensions, minimizing wobble while maintaining correct pocket width and depth without unnecessarily removing material from the pocket walls.
Applications:
- Uniforming inconsistent primer pockets
- Improving primer seating consistency and ignition reliability
- Preventing insufficient primer seating depth, which may contribute to slam-fire conditions
The tool can also remove displaced material around the flash hole caused by using an incorrect decapping pin.

VLD Inside Chamfer & Outside Deburr Tool Set
Tools for chamfering and deburring case mouths.
- VLD Chamfer Tool – removes sharp edges from the inside of the case neck after trimming and promotes smooth bullet seating while reducing the risk of jacket shaving.
- Deburr Tool – removes burrs from the outside of the case mouth after trimming.

Primer Pocket Go & No-Go Gauges
Precision gauges for verifying primer pocket dimensions after reaming or swaging.
- Go Gauge – verifies proper primer pocket dimensions.
- No-Go Gauge – identifies excessively worn or oversized primer pockets.
If the No-Go gauge can be inserted fully and without resistance, the case should be removed from service.
