Case Cleaning – Dry or Wet?

Case preparation is the first step in the reloading process. In this video, we focus on cleaning brass cases - both dry and wet - and also demonstrate their subsequent drying.
Dirty cases with residue from powder, fouling, or even mud must be thoroughly cleaned before placing them into a single-stage reloading press. We present dry cleaning in a tumbler using a suitable cleaning medium and the use of a separator to separate cleaned brass from the cleaning media. We also show wet cleaning in a rotary case tumbler using cleaning media and a cleaning solution. The brass is separated from the cleaning media with a special separator and a magnet. Finally, we cover case drying and evaluate the efficiency and speed of each method.
