Antique Brass Dyer Ballistol Nerofor 50 ml

Nerofor non-ferrous metal dye can be used to dye any non-ferrous metal, e.g. brass or copper. A beautiful antique finish is achieved in minutes. Light yellow brass surfaces are coloured to a dark brown.

Benefits:

• Creates an antique look that is abrasion resistant and stain free
• Reaction time (depending on the material) determines the degree of toning

Usage:

The metal to be painted must be metallic clean before use. To do this, the surface should first be abraded with the finest steel wool, then degreased (e.g. with Ballistol cold degreaser). It is best to use a brush to apply Nerofor, smaller and especially filigree metal parts are better soaked. The stain reacts best if heated to a temperature of approximately 30°C (maximum 35°C) before application or soaking. After a short period of exposure, the treated metal can be rinsed thoroughly with warm water. Now simply dry the new silver, copper or brass with a soft cotton cloth or paper towel. To create a matt shine, the now stained metal can be sprayed or oiled with Ballistol Universal Oil. Excess oil is wiped off with an absorbent cloth.

Not suitable for fine silver (sterling silver) or other precious metals!

Note: Subsequent finishing with wax or varnish.
