Shell holders compatible with Lee Precision, RCBS, CH4D, Triebel, and Lyman reloading presses. Most shell holders use a universal mounting system and are interchangeable (e.g., the Lee Classic Turret press can use shell holders from Lyman, CH4D, RCBS, Triebel...). Most priming tools use special types of shell holders. These special shell holders for priming are shorter – they look similar to those used in reloading presses but have no protrusion on the bottom, as they use a different mounting method. Shell holders for progressive presses (case carriers) are known as Shell Plates and are always designed for specific presses or press families. They resemble plates with multiple holes for cases.
