Barnes’ BANDED SOLIDS Bullet offers machined homogeneous copper/zinc-alloy bullets will not disintegrate or deflect when impacting heavy bone. These bullets resist deformation. There is no expansion with this type of bullet. They are mainly used for hunting dangerous game.

The Barnes’ BANDED SOLIDS offers copper-zinc alloy construction, no fragmentation, near zero expansion, deep and straight-line penetration and maximum weight retention.

BANDED SOLIDS bullets feature multiple bands, or rings, which are cut into the shank of solid bullets. These bands relieve pressure as the bullet passes through the bore, eliminating concerns about high pressures in fine double rifles. The relief bands also virtually eliminate fouling. Barnes’ Banded Solids feature deep crimping grooves that prevent bullet movement under the heaviest recoil, yet allow sure feeding in bolt-action rifles.
