Hornady CX® (Copper alloy eXpanding) is a lead-free monolithic hunting bullet made from a copper alloy. Its optimized design is engineered for high accuracy and reliable performance at extended ranges, high weight retention and deep penetration.
MONOLITHIC COPPER ALLOY BULLET
The one-piece copper alloy construction will not separate and delivers excellent terminal performance, deep penetration and up to 95% weight retention.
HEAT SHIELD® TIP
The Heat Shield® Tip is made from a heat-resistant polymer that withstands aerodynamic heating and helps maintain a consistently high ballistic coefficient (BC) throughout the bullet's flight. The Heat Shield® Tip also provides a precisely defined meplat, contributing to consistent performance from bullet to bullet and lot to lot.
OPTIMIZED GROOVE GEOMETRY
The grooves on the CX® bullet are designed to optimize aerodynamic performance while reducing the bullet's bearing surface in contact with the bore and minimizing barrel fouling.
LEAD-FREE OPTION FOR LARGE GAME HUNTING
CX® is a lead-free bullet suitable for use in areas where traditional lead bullets are restricted or prohibited. It is designed for hunting medium to large game.
