Athlon Rangecraft Velocity Pro Chronograph with Doppler Measurement
The Athlon Rangecraft Velocity Pro radar chronograph is a modern solution for precise bullet velocity measurement without mounting to the firearm. Using Doppler radar, it tracks the projectile in flight without affecting zero or barrel harmonics. This allows load development and real velocity verification while maintaining shooting accuracy.
Unlike traditional chronographs, it does not depend on lighting conditions, muzzle flash, or gas pressure at the muzzle. It works reliably with suppressed firearms as well as those equipped with muzzle brakes, compensators, or other muzzle devices. With a wide measurement range of 65 to 5,000 fps, it handles everything from low-velocity projectiles to high-speed rifle rounds.
The device features intuitive controls and allows quick switching between key ballistic data such as average velocity, standard deviation, extreme spread, deviation from average, and kinetic energy. Data can be stored and further processed, with support for the Athlon Ballistics app and firmware updates via Bluetooth.
Its robust and compact design with IP67 rating ensures resistance to dust and water, making it suitable for demanding outdoor conditions. The built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery provides up to 6 hours of operation and is charged via a modern USB-C port.
